Ideas not only have the power to change the world, they also have the power to heal. To me, Outspoken's poem "Miss Homegrown" is almost an affirmation of true womanhood. So often, as women, we are told to conform to a mortal, physical model. But he talks about our essence—our soul, true beauty. Throughout our "Spread the Word" tour, people—men and women—have responded to this poem, so I wanted to share it with the TMC Youth community.
